The 1.3-liter Fiat 199A2000 or Doblo 1.3 multijet engine was assembled from 2005 to 2016 and installed on many models of the Italian concern such as Grande Punto and Lancia Ypsilon. This power unit is also known as Opel Z13DTJ, Suzuki D13AA and Peugeot-Citroen F13DTE5. Multijet I family: 199A2000, 199A3000, 186A9000, 192A8000, 937A5000, 839A6000, 939A3000.
I bought the van with a start issue thinking it would be glow plugs, but had it checked out and its not that. Also as ive never had a fiat diesel before i thought it was the norm for a 1.3 to be flat and reluctant to rev with power beyond 3,100 rpm. Ive since been told they are very pokey for a small diesel and should rev with power up to 4,000
UPDATE: The problem was fixed:
Morning Everyone I'm not sure I'm posting this in the right place so please feel free to redirect me, I recently bought a doblo cargo 1.3 multijet on an 11 reg and to be honest it's been a nightmare, firstly none of the buttons work on centre console hazards, fogs etc I've had a coolant leak on radiator caused by what looked like a thermostat
FIAT Doblo 06' 1.3 MultiJet 62kw/84hp - Engine long start - 3uga I've seen that the coolant temperature sensor is showing the temperature but did not check if it changes as engine warms up. I"ll check glow plugs as well but don't see how these might be a problem since the hard starting is persistent even as the engine is warmed up.
I meant compare major component part numbers.. cranks..flywheels. Blocks. Or clutch and chain kits if looking at aftermarket. IF the short engines look unchanged. A running Grandd Punto will be the cheapest good option. My MOT failure.. 95k FSH.. Great runner 'sold' for £410 via Ebay.
The pump will struggle to generate pressure in the rail if it's filling with air and the injector won't fire. Injectors "leak off or spill" excess fuel. That means each injector will return/spill unused fuel via a bypass and small (rubber) hose attached to each to the pump/filter/tank depending on engine/fuel temps.
2. Feb 28, 2016. #1. Hello everybody, Last friday the timing chain snapped on my 2008 fiat grande punto. The car has the 1.3 multijet engine (75 horses) and 155000km on the clock. We've started taking it apart yesterday, and found the chain broken at the bottom. I wonder if anyone has some experience with the subsequent damage we can expect.
My car is a 2006 1.9 Multijet and was working well until 2 weeks ago when for no apparent reason the immobiliser light started flashing when I tried to start the car. I got the RAC out and the was told that they couldn't do much with immobiliser faults and I would need a specialist auto electrician. He plugged the diagnostic tool in anyway and
I understand that it is a Diesel engine and indeed the anti schutter can be stuck (it's for preventing a runaway diesel). You can try without de air intake filter to see what is happening when someone else is starting the engine (when it goes wrong then put a big plug in it to kill the engine).
Sorry eveyone never done this before really need some help with this one please. I have a diesel doblo 1.3 multijet on a 57 plate with 47k on the clock and i think i have really bad problem here. I was driving along as normal when the car starting revving up like the throttle was jammed open then clouds of white smoke poured out from the back.
Jun 30, 2019. #1. DPF problems and now the gearbox - Doblo 2012 1.3 TD Multijet. Hi all, new to the forum for desperate advice needed! A few months ago I purchased a 2012 Fiat Doblo 1.3 TD Multijet with 105k on the clock, all went well for the first couple of weeks until the check engine light came on which entered the van to limp mode.
4. Mar 17, 2009. #1. Our 04 plate 1.3 multijet turbo diesel has suddenly developed a turbo whine (not slippings belts). It is a low mileage car (35,000 miles). All the intake pipes appear to be in place, as I have given them a quick tug.

An the petrols its a high resistance in the power lead from starter to + battery terminal causes this issue. the corrosion builds up in the crimped ends so even columbo could miss it. Also take off battery connections clean bright them with dick emery cloth and retighten. OP.
